Kwara State University Announces Proposed 2024/2025 Academic Calendar

Kwara State University has announced its proposed academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session, detailing key dates for both the Harmattan and Rain semesters.

For the Harmattan Semester:

- Students' Registration and Orientation will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024.

- Classes are set to commence on Monday, November 11, 2024.

- Registration will close on Monday, November 23, 2024, with late registration running from Tuesday, November 24, 2024, to Saturday, January 4, 2025.

- Mid-Semester Break is scheduled from Thursday, January 2 to Friday, January 3, 2025.

- Undergraduate Matriculation Day will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

- Continuous Assessment (CA) Week will occur from Monday, January 13 to Saturday, January 18, 2025.

- Classes End on Friday, January 31, 2025.

- Revision Week is set from Monday, February 3 to Saturday, February 8, 2025.

- Examinations will begin on Monday, February 10 and end on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

- Grades Upload and departmental grades consideration will take place on Tuesday, March 18, with faculty boards’ consideration on Thursday, March 20.

- BCOS Meeting on Grades is scheduled from Tuesday, March 25 to Friday, March 28.

- Senate Approval and Electronic Release of Results** are planned for Thursday, April 3, 2025.

For the Rain Semester:

- Add/Drop Period will start on Monday, April 7, 2025, and end on Monday, May 19, 2025.

- Classes Begin on Monday, April 14, 2025.

- Mid-Semester Break is set for Thursday, May 29 to Friday, May 30, 2025.

- Makeup Examinations and CA Week will take place from Monday, June 2 to Saturday, June 7, 2025.

- Classes End on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

- Revision Week is from Monday, July 7 to Saturday, July 12, 2025.

- Examinations will begin on Monday, July 14 and conclude on Saturday, August 11, 2025.

- Grades Upload and departmental grades consideration will occur on Thursday, August 21, with faculty boards’ consideration on Tuesday, August 26.

- BCOS Meeting on Grades is scheduled from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 5, with Senate meeting to approve grades on Thursday, September 11.

- Electronic Release of Results will also be on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
