KWASU Expels 175 Students for Various Offences
Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete has expelled 175 students for offences such as examination malpractice, theft, fraud, and possession of firearms.
Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has announced the expulsion of 175 students for a range of offences, following the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC).

According to a statement by Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the Ag. Director of University Relations, the decision was based on findings from SDC sittings held between October 2021 and March 2024.
The university's statement detailed the nature of the offences committed by the expelled students, which include examination malpractice, theft, admission fraud (using fake results), assault, fraud, membership in unregistered associations, and possession of a firearm.

Dr. Saeedat Aliyu emphasized the university's commitment to maintaining a high standard of discipline. “The Management of Kwara State University wishes to reiterate its zero-tolerance for all acts of indiscipline as the institution stands firm on producing graduates who are excellent both in character and in learning.”
The expulsion of these students underscores KWASU's dedication to upholding academic integrity and fostering a safe and honest educational environment.
