KWASU Partners with National Gallery of Art to Establish On-Campus Gallery and Museum

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, has signed an MoU with the National Gallery of Art for the building of a National Gallery and Museum in the University.

The Vice-Chancellor who expressed joy at the signing noted that such synergies were what the institution looked forward to for the advancement of the institution.

He expressed optimism that the project will forge greater partnership with the National Gallery of Art and enhance the tourism potential of the state.

The Director General of the National Gallery of Art, Ahmed Bashir Sodangi, who was represented by the Director, General Services at the agency, Mrs Ekene Okoroma, expressed the readiness of the agency to collaborate with institutions building capacity in art forms.
