The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has reaffirmed the institution's commitment to staff welfare, assuring employees of the university's continued dedication to the prompt payment of their entitlements.

Prof. Jimoh gave the assurance while hosting the university's 20 newly promoted professors and their spouses at a special reception held on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

He described the 2025 promotion exercise as a significant achievement, noting that 20 academic staff members attained the rank of professor through a transparent and merit-based process.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, all the newly promoted professors received favourable assessments from external evaluators, reflecting the quality of their research output and scholarly contributions.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted professors, Prof. Adeyinka Elizabeth Ajibola thanked the university management for its support and confidence in their abilities.
