Nigerian Lady named Colette Offiong Bassey bags first-ever first-class graduate of its Department of Linguistics and Communications Studies, despite sitting for her final examination in her narrow time of delivery.

Nigerian Lady named Colette Offiong Bassey has broken a 44-year-old record of the University of Calabar, Nigeria after emerging the first-ever first-class graduate of its Department of Linguistics and Communications Studies.

A Statement by the university confirmed that she is the first person in the history of the institution to earn a first-class degree from the Linguistics and Communications studies department.

Colette Offiong Bassey who was heavily pregnant while taking her final year examination narrated that she sat for an examination on Wednesday and gave birth to a baby boy the next Saturday.
