This pivotal announcement, which marks a monumental shift in the educational landscape of the country, also encompasses the approval for the establishment of two federal Universities of Agriculture, two federal universities of Medical and Health Sciences, and five colleges of education. The directive came through a statement issued by Obialor-Dur Augustina Okechi, Assistant Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education.

The statement further detailed the institutions that have received the nod for immediate establishment, including the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences in Kwale, Delta State, and the Federal University of Agriculture in Mubi, Adamawa State.

Additionally, the newly approved colleges of education include c Ididep in Ibiono, Akwa Ibom State, and the Federal College of Education (Technical) in Yauri, Kebbi State.
