In a sermon delivered after leading the congregation in the mandatory two rakats prayer marking the end of the 30-day Ramadan, Professor Sanni emphasized the importance of continuing righteous deeds beyond the fasting period. He warned that it would be a waste of time, energy, and resources for Muslims to return to forbidden acts under the guise of Sallah celebrations.

Congratulating Muslims for successfully completing the month of fasting and intense prayers, the Imam reminded them of the uncertainty of life and the blessings bestowed upon them by Allah (SWT) for witnessing the end of Ramadan. He urged believers to uphold good conduct, promote peace, and remember Nigeria in their prayers.

Professor Sanni also highlighted the recommended practice of observing six additional days of fasting in the month of Shawal after Ramadan, along with fasting on Mondays, Thursdays, and the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of every month. He emphasized that the end of Ramadan did not signify the cessation of righteous acts, urging Muslims to allow the lessons learned during Ramadan to guide their daily lives.
