LASU Hosts Experts Roundtable on Dangote Refinery and National Interest

The Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Lagos State University (LASU), hosted a one-day Experts Roundtable with the theme “Dangote Refinery: The Law, Labour and National Interest.”

The dialogue brought together leading academics and practitioners to examine the refinery’s impact on labour relations, legal frameworks, and Nigeria’s broader economic priorities.

The roundtable discussion reaffirmed LASU’s commitment to intellectual leadership and shaping ongoing discourse around industrial reform, labour rights, and economic sovereignty in Nigeria.
