Lagos State University (LASU) has unveiled five new ultra-modern hostel facilities, reinforcing its strategic goal to become a fully residential campus.
The University is urging fresh and returning full-time undergraduate students to prioritise on-campus accommodation to enjoy the numerous benefits it offers.
The new hostels, delivered through a Public-Private Partnership, reflect LASU’s commitment to student safety, academic excellence, and an enriching campus experience.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, encouraged students and their parents or guardians to apply for University-managed hostels, highlighting that living on campus supports academic performance, fosters community, and enhances personal development.
Prof. Olatunji-Bello also warned against fraudulent agents and landlords exploiting students through misleading social media advertisements, which can result in financial loss and emotional distress. She noted that recurring tensions with off-campus host communities make on-campus living a safer and more secure option.
Students seeking accommodation can apply through the LASU portal: www.lasu.edu.ng/hostel.
