MAAUN Hosts Global Virtual Workshop on Research Informatics

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) hosted an online international workshop on Monday, themed "Research Informatics: A Module of Research Methodology." The event aimed to enhance the understanding of students, academics, and the public on modern research practices.
MAAUN President, Prof. Mohammad Israr, announced that 11,402 participants from 103 countries registered for the virtual workshop. The event featured presentations from three prominent speakers, focusing on various aspects of research informatics.
Professor Nada Ratkovic from the University of Split, Croatia, opened the session, highlighting the importance of the data life cycle and the role of digital tools in improving research accuracy and efficiency. Ms. Rana Khan from Canadian College in Kuwait emphasized the foundational importance of identifying research problems. Dr. Megha Bhushan of the University of Seville, Spain, concluded with a discussion on open science and its benefits for transparency and collaboration.
In her closing remarks, Hajiya Maimuna S. Bello, Head of MAAUN's Human Resource Unit, thanked the speakers and participants for their engagement in the workshop.
