MAAUN Names Female Hostel After Late Student, Zainab Najashi Danbatta

The Management of Maryam Abacha American University has named one of its female hostels after Zainab Najashi Danbatta, a 300 level student of physiotherapy who passed away on 22nd April 2025 after a brief illness.

The Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo announced the naming of the hostel after the late student in a statement on Saturday.

He said the university management decided to honour late Zainab Najashi Danbatta by immortalising her name.

According to Prof. Gwarzo, late Zainab would continue to be cherished and remembered for the fact that she was a hard working, humble and disciplined student who had respect for her faculty members, colleagues and other people.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah and comfort her parents over the great loss.
