MAAUN Partners with Russian Varsity to Foster Geoscience Research and Cultural Cooperation

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Irkutsk National Research Technical University (INRTU) in Russia.

The partnership aims to promote research in geosciences, educational, and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement, signed by Prof. Mohammad Israr, President of MAAUN, and Prof. Mikhail Korniakov, Rector of INRTU, will facilitate research projects, conferences, seminars, and workshops, as well as resource sharing. The partnership is expected to foster research collaboration and cultural exchanges, promoting deeper understanding and friendship between Nigeria and Russia.

This collaboration is part of MAAUN's commitment to expanding international partnerships, with the university having signed MoUs with 50 universities across 21 countries. The partnership is expected to address global challenges and provide sustainable environmental solutions, benefiting not only the participating institutions but also Northern Nigeria and the entire African continent.
