Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has entered a partnership with Anatomia Healthcare and Educational Resources Limited to launch the Biomedical Research, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation Network (BRAIN) Project. The initiative aims to advance healthcare research and AI-based healthcare solutions, providing students with practical experience in biomedical research.

Under the agreement, the BRAIN Project will establish a center at MAAUN, making the university a hub for healthcare and technological innovation in Northern Nigeria. Students will gain valuable hands-on experience, positioning them at the forefront of advancements in AI and healthcare.

MAAUN President, Professor Mohammad Israr, highlighted the project's alignment with the university's mission, while Anatomia’s Executive Director, Dr. Maryam Nasir Aliyu, discussed the potential benefits, including AI-driven tools for medical education and a predictive model for breast cancer risk. The partnership represents a significant step toward integrating AI in healthcare, benefiting both students and the wider community.
