Meet Brilliant Nigerian Lady Who Graduated With A Master’s Degree From Canada With A 100% Record

Oluwabunmi Amosu, a Nigerian academic achiever, has made headlines with her extraordinary educational journey. Recently, she accomplished a significant milestone by earning a Master of Arts degree in Education and Society from McGill University in Canada, achieving a perfect 100% record with A+ grades in all her courses. Additionally, she secured a scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. in the same field at the same university.
Amosu's journey is a testament to her unwavering resilience, determination, and pursuit of excellence. She initially graduated with first-class honors in Business Administration and Management from Lagos State University in 2017. After several unsuccessful attempts to secure scholarships for international studies, her perseverance paid off in March 2020 when she received two fully-funded scholarships, the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship. Opting for the latter, she embarked on her master's degree at McGill University in Canada, one of only two Nigerians selected for this prestigious scholarship.

Being an international student presented its share of challenges for Amosu, particularly due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. She had to adapt to online learning, manage time zone differences, grapple with isolation, and address her mental health. Nevertheless, she overcame these hurdles with dedication, seeking support when necessary, connecting with peers and professors, and maintaining a positive outlook.

Amosu's inspirational journey continued as she successfully completed her first and second years of graduate studies, earning commendation from her professors and fellow students for her exceptional performance and contributions. Her academic excellence resulted in an offer to pursue her doctoral studies with full funding from the university.
Apart from her academic achievements, Amosu is deeply passionate about entrepreneurship, education, and empowering young individuals, particularly girls. She is the founder of the non-profit organization, Smart Innovation Hub, which focuses on educating youth, especially girls, in entrepreneurial skills and promoting quality education.
