Meet Olasubomi Ayeni, First-Class Nutrition and Dietetics Graduate from LAUTECH

Olasubomi Ayeni has graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Nutrition and Dietetics, earning First-Class Honours from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso. His academic achievement caps an eight-year journey from secondary school graduation to tertiary success.
From a young age, Ayeni maintained high personal and academic expectations. However, his path to higher education was delayed when he faced consecutive setbacks in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations. Writing the UTME twice without securing admission led to a period of intense self-doubt regarding his academic capacity and long-term purpose.
Ayeni eventually secured admission into LAUTECH three years after completing his secondary education. Motivated by his family's support and a desire to serve as a positive role model for his younger siblings, he set a singular target to achieve a first-class degree.
Ayeni’s graduation with First-Class Honours highlights his resilience and establishes him as an exemplary graduate within the Faculty of Food Sciences and academic community at LAUTECH.
