Meet Professor Isa Ali Pantami, A Distinguished Alumnus of ATBU

Professor Isa Ali Pantami, a renowned alumnus of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), has made significant contributions to Nigeria's digital transformation.

With a strong foundation in Computer Science from ATBU, Prof. Pantami went on to earn a Master's degree from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, and a Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems. He is also a fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and the International Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology (FIASET).

Prof. Pantami's career spans academia and public service. He was a lecturer at ATBU, shaping the minds of future tech professionals, before transitioning to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) as Director General. He later served as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy from 2019 to 2023, driving digital policy reform and overseeing significant ICT growth, digital literacy expansion, and broadband penetration in Nigeria.
