Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, concludes arrangements to award degrees of a total of 4,638 graduating students.

On the 27th convocation scheduled on May 13, 2023 at Modibbo Adama University (MAU), 63 first-class, 1,069 second-class upper; 1,783 second-class lower; 552 third-class and 40 pass degrees will be awarded to the graduating students.

In his address at a news briefing on Tuesday, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Abdullahi Tukur, revealed that the university will also award 72 postgraduate diplomas, 480 Masters degrees and 80 PhDs in several specialisations. Tukur added that four prominent Nigerians including the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, and a former Adamawa State Governor, Bonni Haruna, receive honorary doctorate degrees during the convocation. Top businessmen Muhammad Indimi and experienced educationist Dahiru Bobbo will also receive honorary doctorate degrees during the event which will take place on the university's main campus,  in Girei, close to Yola.
