Modibbo Adama University Staff Members Appreciate VC for Approval of Long-Awaited Upgrades
Staff members of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, who were recently upgraded, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibrahim Umar, and the university management to express their gratitude for his approval of their long-standing request.
The staff members, who acquired additional qualifications on self-sponsorship, were elevated from junior to senior cadre, a move that has significantly improved their morale and livelihoods.
Expression of Gratitude
The NASU Chairperson, Mrs. Sadiya Suleyman, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the affected staff, praising the Vice-Chancellor for his responsiveness and humane approach to leadership.
"We are sincerely thankful for this life-changing gesture," she remarked, adding that the approval has rekindled hope and improved their standard of living.
Mrs. Suleyman also appealed for the inclusion of NASU members in critical university committees and requested basic office equipment for the union secretariat, which the VC graciously approved.
Prof. Ibrahim Umar expressed heartfelt thanks for the visit and the kind gesture, recalling his pledge to recognize staff who demonstrated initiative by acquiring further qualifications.
He urged the upgraded staff to remain dedicated to their duties, reminding them that "to whom much is given, much is expected."
The staff members presented the Vice-Chancellor with an award of excellence in recognition of his commitment and visionary leadership.
