NANNM Calls for Submission of Unemployed Nurses and Midwives’ Details Nationwide

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has issued a directive to all state chapters and relevant stakeholders to compile and submit the names of unemployed nurses and midwives across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). 

In an official memo dated 2nd September 2024, signed by the Deputy General Secretary on behalf of the General Secretary, NANNM requested that nurses and midwives who are currently unemployed should approach the nearest NANNM unit to submit their details, including their nursing practice licenses and other relevant documents.

The memo has been widely circulated among National Administrative Council members, state chairmen, secretaries, and representatives of specialist and pressure groups, ensuring that all unemployed nurses and midwives are informed of this critical exercise. The association emphasized the importance of this process in addressing the issue of unemployment within the profession.

NANNM urged all eligible members to participate promptly to ensure their details are included in the compilation.
