Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has been ranked the number one university in Nigeria for Quality Education in the 2025 edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.

The THE Impact Rankings evaluate universities worldwide based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the 2025 rankings, 1,975 universities from 127 countries and territories were assessed, with particular attention to how institutions advance SDG 4 by promoting inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education.

 

The "Quality Education" category highlights universities that demonstrate excellence in expanding access to education across all levels — from early childhood to lifelong learning — while promoting relevant skills development and effective learning outcomes. NSUK’s top ranking reflects its commitment to building a strong educational foundation that prepares students for success in the global workforce.

SDG 1: No Poverty – 3rd out of 25 Nigerian universities
