National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education Pays Courtesy Visit to BOSU

The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, led by Executive Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sani Idris, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), Prof. Haruna Dantoro Dlakwa.

The visit aimed to inform the university about the commission's establishment and its objectives, including addressing challenges faced by almajiri students and promoting Qur'anic education.

The Director of the Centre for Kanuri Ajami and Qur'anic Studies, Dr. Mustapha Mohammed Ali, highlighted the centre's goals, including developing Kanuri Ajami calligraphy.

The representative of the VC, Prof. Mohammed Musa, expressed delight at the visit and called for support and advice from the commission. He also commended the President and the National Assembly for their support.

The visit concluded with a presentation of an award to the VC and a display of animation on Kanuri calligraphy.
