NCAT and FAAN Collaborate to Enhance Airport Emergency Training Facilities

In order to enhance airport emergency response capabilities, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) have agreed to collaborate on developing advanced Airport Emergency Training Facilities.

In order to enhance airport emergency response capabilities, the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) have agreed to collaborate on developing advanced Airport Emergency Training Facilities.

The productive interactive meeting was spearheaded by NCAT’s Rector and CEO, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe, and FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, along with their respective teams. The discussions centered on pooling expertise and resources to enhance the safety and security protocols at Nigerian airports.

Key points of the meeting included strategies for improving emergency preparedness, sharing best practices, and integrating advanced training modules for airport personnel. Both organizations emphasized the importance of robust emergency response mechanisms to handle potential crises effectively.

“This collaboration marks a significant step forward in strengthening the aviation industry's emergency preparedness and response,” stated Mr. Imalighwe. He highlighted that the synergy between NCAT and FAAN will lead to the development of state-of-the-art training facilities that are critical for maintaining high standards of airport safety.
