NDLEA Kwara State Commander Seeks Stronger Collaboration with Nigerian Army College of Education

The State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kwara State Command, Hajiya Fatima Abiola Popoola, recently visited the Nigerian Army College of Education (NACOE) at Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin. The visit was aimed at acknowledging the college's support and seeking further collaboration in the fight against drug abuse.

During the visit, Hajiya Popoola praised NACOE for its significant contributions and support to the NDLEA. She commended the College Provost, Major General Umar Babangida, along with the officers and staff of the college, for their role in aiding the agency’s mission. Hajiya Popoola emphasized that the college’s safety measures have notably reduced drug abuse among the youth within its community.

The NDLEA Kwara State Commander highlighted the importance of partnerships with key stakeholders, noting that the success in tackling drug peddlers and users could not have been achieved without such collaborations. She expressed a desire for continued and enhanced synergy between the NDLEA and the college to further strengthen the agency’s efforts.

In response, Major General Umar Babangida thanked Hajiya Popoola for the visit and acknowledged the NDLEA’s efforts in maintaining a drug-free environment in the state. He praised the agency for its past initiatives and reaffirmed NACOE’s commitment to supporting the NDLEA’s mission through ongoing sensitization and awareness campaigns.
