University of Ibadan (UI) important update for freshers that should not be missed after gaining admission. 

1. Online Students Portal Registration; Log in to the students portal with your matric number/student email address as the username. Your surname in small letters is your password. You'll be required to change your password after the first login. If you're finding it difficult to log in, please go to the ITEMS to complain.

2. Hall Clearance/Registration; I believe this should have ended by now, because staylites are being allocated to Halls Of Residence. However, if you're yet to pay for accommodation or get cleared, please contact your Hall Executives for clarification.

3. Faculty/Departmental Registration; This has to be done at your different departments. You'll have to present some documents as may be required by your departments.

4. Library Registration and Orientation; This started on the 4th and ends on the 8th. Different departments are scheduled for each day. If you can't do it within the stipulated time, you can do it later, that's late registration. The venue is Kenneth Dike Library (KDL, UI).

5. Medical Registration; This has started since 4th of September and the deadline is 30th of September. The process is to fill and online form. Make payment of 3000 naira to UNIBADAN MICROFINANCE BANK. Proceed for an X-ray exercise at the designated laboratories, you'll have to pay for the x-ray. Get the x-ray results and proceed to the University clinic for the medical screening. You'll be required to present some documents. Remember that the deadline is September 30.

6. Computer Sheet/Students Information registration ADPU; This has started since 28th of August and the deadline is 29th of September. Please check the memo to know the schedule for your department. Time is 10am to 2pm daily (Monday to Friday)

7. Course registration: This has to be done after consultation with your Course adviser in your department.

8. GES registration: Your department will guide you on how to do this. Please stay tuned for the information.

9. School fee payment has started. Students are advised to log in to the students portal to check their prescribed fees. Utility fee is 20000 naira and Technology fee is 20000 for new students. Bundle fee (including GES fee) is varying depending on the department you are.

10. Laboratory/Studio/Professional levies would be prescribed by your department. This is different from all other fees. It's to be paid through Remitta.

12. Matriculation ceremony is on Tuesday, 12th of September. Collection of gowns has started since September 7. You're required to pay a refundable fee of 500 naira only. You'll be also required to present your school fees receipt.

1. Zoom.

2. Google Meet.

3. Telegram.

4. WPS Office.

5. WhatsApp; very important.

By now, you should have been added to the WhatsApp groups of your Hall Of Residence and and Departments/Faculties.
