Newgate University Minna (NUM) recently underwent a resource verification exercise for its Nursing program, conducted by a team from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

The verification team was led by Professor E. E. Amjebe from the University of Ilorin, and included Hajiya Amina Ahmad from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Ms. Izundu Nneka Osinachi, the visiting committee Secretary.

In his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sadiq Yusuf, assured the NMCN team of the University’s full cooperation and readiness to uphold the highest standards in nursing education.

The Council's team conducted a thorough inspection, visiting the school laboratories, classrooms, and several clinical posting sites.

NMCN Commendations:

 * Modern Facilities: The Council was highly impressed by the modern learning environment, including a mental health lab and a hi-tech lab.

Impressed by the University’s commitment to excellence, the NMCN Council recommended the introduction of a student internship for 400-level students to further enhance their clinical experience.

Newgate University Minna stated its continued dedication to quality training and innovation, focused on shaping competent, confident, and compassionate health professionals.
