Nigerian Defence Academy Reveals Requirements for 77 Regular Course Admission
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has opened applications for the 77 Regular Course from November 6, 2024, to April 30, 2025. Both male and female Nigerians can apply through the official portal by paying a N7,000 fee via REMITA.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has announced the commencement of online applications for admission into the 77 Regular Course. The application portal will be open from Wednesday, November 6, 2024, to April 30, 2025. Admission is open to both male and female Nigerians who meet the eligibility criteria.
Application Process
Interested candidates are required to visit the NDA application portal at www.ndaapplications.net, select "Purchase Access Code," and fill in their details to generate an Order ID and a REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code. The application fee of N7,000 must be paid via REMITA, and only payments made against RRR Codes generated through the official portal will be accepted.
Applicants must also apply to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and select NDA as their first-choice institution.
Submission and Screening Requirements
All completed application forms must be submitted online along with scanned copies of SSCE results. Upon submission, candidates should download an Acknowledgement Form. The NDA screening test, which serves as Phase 1 of the post-UTME screening, will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Candidates must bring their Acknowledgement Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB result slip, and two postcard-sized photographs (3.5 x 5 inches) to the test center.
Only successful candidates from this screening phase will proceed to the Armed Forces Selection Board (Phase 2). The final list of admitted candidates will be published upon completion of the selection process.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the NDA 77 Regular Course, candidates must:

Be Nigerian citizens and possess a Certificate of Indigeneship from their state or local government.

Be between 17 and 21 years old by August 2025.

Have a minimum of five O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, or NABTEB.

Attain a minimum UTME score of 180 for Arts, Social Sciences, and Science courses, and 210 for Engineering courses.

Be medically and physically fit, single, and without legal obligations to support any dependents.

Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.68 meters for males and 1.65 meters for females.

Knowledge of French, Arabic, or Mandarin is considered an added advantage.
Candidates should note that awaiting results will not be accepted, and only results obtained within the past five years will be considered.
Training and Benefits
Successful candidates admitted into the NDA Regular Course will undergo five years of military and academic training, culminating in the award of an honors degree (BSc, BEng, or BA) in their chosen field. Graduates will also receive a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria. The Federal Government will cover all training and administrative costs.
