Nigerian Graduate Achieves Perfect 5.0/5.0 GPA and Claims Best Student Award at Russian University

Okeke Solomon Ekene, a Nigerian graduate hailing from Anambra state, has achieved a historic academic milestone by being named the overall best graduating student at RUDN University, Moscow, Russia. He proudly completed his Master of Science degree in Environmental Management and Engineering with a flawless cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0/5.0.

Ekene's academic journey commenced in Okija, Anambra, where he attended primary and secondary schools. Following this, he pursued Agricultural Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), where he graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2018.

In 2019, he secured a scholarship through the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) program of the Federal Ministry of Education, joining 94 Nigerian students who were awarded this prestigious scholarship.

Subsequently, Ekene enrolled in the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at RUDN University, renowned as one of Russia's leading multidisciplinary institutions. He opted to specialize in Environmental Management and Engineering, a field that blends engineering principles with environmental science to address pressing environmental challenges.

Notably, Ekene's academic prowess shone as he consistently achieved the highest marks in all his courses and examinations. His dedication extended to participation in research projects and competitions, where he garnered several awards and accolades.

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Ekene claimed multiple titles:

- Best Graduating Student 2023

- Valedictorian, 2023

- Best in the Moscow State exam, 2023

- Holder of the 1st degree of the competition for the best graduate dissertation (Golden diploma)

- Graduated with the honorary Russian Red diploma (Perfect CGPA)

Furthermore, the university presented him with an honorary degree due to his exceptional performance.
