Nigerian Man Seeks 20 WAEC Top Performers for Ivy League Scholarship Opportunity
To qualify, students must have achieved A1 grades in all nine subjects they sat for in the WAEC exams
A Nigerian man, Alex Onyia, has announced his search for 20 exceptional students who scored A1 parallel in the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Onyia revealed that an organization is willing to sponsor these students, helping them secure admission into prestigious Ivy League universities abroad.
To qualify, students must have achieved A1 grades in all nine subjects they sat for in the WAEC exams. Onyia mentioned that the selected candidates would be enrolled in a rigorous two-year program at United World Colleges, which operates in 18 countries, including the United States, Canada, and Singapore. Graduates of this program stand a chance to receive full scholarships to Ivy League institutions such as Harvard, MIT, and Stanford.
Onyia also cautioned that students who attended "miracle centers" should not reach out to him, as the scholarship is intended for genuinely high-performing students.
This initiative is seen as a significant opportunity for academically gifted students to advance their education and gain international exposure.
