Nigerian Researcher, Dr. Ernest Udalla, Secures Prestigious UK Fellowship

Dr. Udalla, holding a PhD in Political Science with specialization in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, has been appointed as the inaugural Ladipo Adamolekun Postdoctoral Fellow.
In a significant achievement, Dr. Ernest Udalla, a Nigerian postdoctoral researcher, has been selected to join the St Antony’s College Ladipo Adamolekun Postdoctoral Fellowship at Oxford. This prestigious fellowship, established in perpetuity by Prof. Ladipo Adamolekun, is dedicated to research in Nigerian public administration.
The fellowship specifically targets individuals who have been awarded their PhD at a Nigerian university, providing them with the opportunity to prepare publications based on their dissertation, focusing on the study of public administration in Nigeria. Dr. Udalla, holding a PhD in Political Science with specialization in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, has been appointed as the inaugural Ladipo Adamolekun Postdoctoral Fellow.
His appointment comes after a rigorous selection process, with over 40 eligible applicants. A committee chaired by St Antony’s Fellows, Professors Miles Larmer, David Pratten, and Thomas Hale, made the final selection. Dr. Udalla is set to commence his fellowship in January 2024.
Currently serving as a lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State, Dr. Udalla is also a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute for French Research in Africa, University of Ibadan. His research interests include public administration and public policy.
