Nigerian Students Shine in Online International Math Challenge

The Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) has secured a notable victory by clinching 19 medals in an online international mathematics challenge organized by the Pan-Asia International School in Thailand.

The competition, aimed at promoting a positive outlook on mathematics and inspiring students to explore its applications in various fields, attracted over 8,270 participants from approximately 70 countries. NTIC was represented by 52 students, who showcased exceptional talent and dedication during the event.

Among the NTIC participants, 19 students distinguished themselves by receiving medals, with six students earning honorable mention awards. The achievements of these outstanding students include nine Gold medals, six Silver medals, four Bronze medals, and six honorable mentions.

As a result of their outstanding performances, the students have been invited to participate in the Global Round of the Copernicus Mathematics Olympiad, scheduled to be held in New York in July 2024, under the auspices of Columbia University.

In recognition of their achievements, Mr. Fevzullah Bilgin, the Managing Director of NTIC, expressed appreciation to the students, teachers, and parents for their dedication and support. He specially acknowledged the Gold Medallists: Luis Lu, Chidubem Festus Nwakuche, Chibuike Augustine Amah, Kaosisochukwu Karsten Enebe, Chukwukasiemobi Andre Enebe, Chukwunwike Ezebube, Abdulhafiz Wakili, Oghenerukevwe Esemitodje, and Ikenna Enwere.

The success of NTIC students in the international mathematics challenge reflects the institution's commitment to academic excellence and highlights the potential of Nigerian students on the global stage.
