Nine AE-FUNAI Scholars Ranked Among World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier

Nine academic staff of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, have been ranked among the 2025 top 2% of scientists in the world by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, a globally recognized publishing and data analytics company.

The Top 2% Scientists ranking is a prestigious annual list that recognizes researchers whose scholarly works and citations have made significant global impact in their respective fields. The 2025 edition was based on data indexed by Scopus as of August 1, 2025, covering citations up to the end of 2024.

VC Commends the Scholars’ Achievement

Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of AE-FUNAI, Professor Sunday Elom, congratulated the scholars for bringing global recognition to the university through their consistent dedication to quality research and academic excellence.
