FG Approves New Book by Governor Uzodimma's Kinsman for Secondary Schools Nationwide
The Federal Government has sanctioned the distribution of a new educational book authored by Mr. Christopher Ononukwe, a kinsman of Governor Hope Uzodimma, for secondary schools, emphasizing its educational value and potential impact on governance discourse.
In a significant development for educational literature, the Federal Government has given its nod to a new book authored by Mr. Christopher Ononukwe, a kinsman of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, for distribution and sale in secondary schools across the country.
The approval, conveyed through a letter dated 26th January 2024 and signed by Prof. Ismail Junaidu, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), highlights the book's merit and its recommendation for general readership.

Titled "Fundamentals of Government: A Complete Guide for Schools and Colleges," the 319-page publication has been praised for its educational value, quality, and potential impact on governance discourse, extending up to the tertiary education level.

Mr. Ononukwe, who previously served as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the former Interim Management Committee Chairman of Oru East Local Government Area, expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodimma's administration for the support rendered during the book's fundraising and launch. He acknowledged the government's role in enhancing his political knowledge, which served as inspiration for the book's inception back in 2006.

Additionally, Mr. Ononukwe extended appreciation to Emeka Celestine Ugoanyanwu, former MD/CEO of Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation, for his support and leadership during the book's launch, highlighting his mentorship as instrumental in his writing career's growth.
Rooted in Mr. Ononukwe's extensive experience as a teacher, administrative officer, communication specialist, and entrepreneur, the book aims to positively contribute to national discourse on governance and leadership. It seeks to challenge negative mindsets among leaders and citizens, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on quality education and the promotion of peace, justice, and strong institutions.
