Applicants for postgraduate studies are required to possess a minimum of a first degree with second class honors in the upper division. Double entries will result in disqualification, and applicants are required to submit documents such as a letter of admission to the institution, CGPA result, national identity number, and state of origin certificate.
The registration portal is open from April 2 to May 13, 2024. Degree courses eligible for the scholarship include Science and Technology, Medicine and Medical Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Liberal Arts/Social/Management Sciences, Entrepreneurial Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Environmental Sciences, and Law.
Additionally, the ministry outlined the criteria for the bursary award, specifying that applicants must be registered students studying education in Nigerian colleges of education and universities, and must be in their second year or above. However, beneficiaries of any existing scholarship are not eligible for the bursary award.
Awards are tenable in Nigeria and take effect from the beginning of the academic session. Recipients are not permitted to hold another award concurrently or engage in part-time studies. Change of course or institution is also prohibited while enjoying the award.
