Nine-Year-Old Sets Ambitious Goal to Read 200 Books in 2024

Nine-year-old Osaivbie Izedonmwen has embarked on a remarkable mission to read 200 books throughout the year 2024, aiming to inspire a love for reading among his peers.
In a statement shared with The PUNCH, Osaivbie and his twelve-year-old brother, Oghosa, expressed concern that electronic gadgets and laptops were diminishing their friends' interest in reading.

Since January, Osaivbie has been diligently pursuing his reading challenge, documenting his progress and book reviews on his Instagram page, "Read with us."

A fourth-grade student, Osaivbie discovered his passion for reading at the age of three and believes that everyone should experience the pleasure and benefits of reading. He described reading as an exciting experience akin to watching a movie in one's mind, with limitless possibilities for imagination.
Osaivbie hopes to receive more donations to sustain his book donation drive and provide books to children who may not have access to them otherwise.
