The National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Joe Ajaero, has expressed delight at the substantial infrastructural strides made by the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, within just a year in office.

The National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Joe Ajaero, has expressed delight at the substantial infrastructural strides made by the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, within just a year in office. Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday during a fact-finding visit coinciding with the governor's first anniversary, Ajaero praised the remarkable progress witnessed in the state.

"We are really very impressed with what we saw in the state," Ajaero stated. "We were here during the electioneering, six months after, and we are here now. We are proud to say that we have a thoroughbred trade unionist taking Kebbi to places."

Ajaero highlighted the impressive development achieved despite Kebbi State receiving one of the lowest allocations from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) compared to other states. He commended the governor's ability to maximize limited resources for substantial progress.

"The level of development is marvellous and commendable," Ajaero noted, emphasizing the goodwill and hospitality shown by the people of Kebbi towards the governor and his administration. "We have no`ted the high level of hospitality and cheers from the people anywhere we go, and this shows their acceptability of Dr. Nasir Idris."

Ajaero also extolled the significant achievements in the education sector, including the employment of 2,000 qualified teachers and the renovation and construction of schools at all levels. These efforts aim to boost education in the state. Furthermore, he verified the payment of scholarships to students from Kebbi studying both domestically and internationally, alongside the provision of free education in all public primary and secondary schools.

"Some governors don't even dare to announce their presence or even wind down their glasses while they are in their states," Ajaero remarked, highlighting the unique rapport between Governor Idris and the people of Kebbi. "If they do so, they will collect."
