N.O. Idowu Foundation Donates Inverters to University College Hospital, COMUI
The Nathaniel Idowu Foundation on 11th September 2025 donated and commissioned an alternative power supply system to the Departments of Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and DPRAS at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The Nathaniel Idowu Foundation on 11th September 2025 donated and commissioned an alternative power supply system to the Departments of Surgery, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and DPRAS at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

Professor Bunmi Olaopa, Head of the Surgery Department and facilitator of the donation, explained that the system includes a 15KW solar inverter, 17.6KW solar panel, and 44 lithium batteries, designed to ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical hospital operations.

Speaking at the commissioning, Chief Yemi Idowu, representative of the Foundation, stated that the initiative aims to add value to hospital services, making work more efficient and productive for healthcare staff.

The Chief Medical Director of UCH, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, represented by the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (Clinical Services), Professor Olusola Olawoye, expressed profound gratitude to the donors. He also urged other well-meaning Nigerians to explore ways to give back to society, highlighting the importance of private support in strengthening public healthcare infrastructure.
