Northwest University, Kano Announces 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony

The Management of Northwest University, Kano (YUMSUK), has officially scheduled its matriculation exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session to hold on Friday, May 15, 2026.

The announcement follows the approval of the 2025 student admissions by the University Senate during its 65th regular meeting held in March. A formal notification issued by the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records (DEAR) on behalf of the Registrar, outlines the details for the upcoming ceremony.

According to the directive signed by Jafaru Sule Muhammad, Head of DEAR, all principal officers, deans, directors, and invited stakeholders are expected to assemble at the Lecture Hall near the Directorate of Security entrance. The academic procession will commence from this point before proceeding to the main venue for the official ceremony.

The university management has extended a formal invitation to the entire university community, noting that the event is a critical milestone for newly admitted students as they are formally integrated into the institution.
