Northwest University, Kano Appoints HRH Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I as Chancellor

Northwest University, Kano, has appointed His Royal Highness, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I, CFR, JSC (rtd.), the Emir of Lafia, Bare-Bari, and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, as its new Chancellor.

The appointment was confirmed during the university's 2nd Combined Convocation Ceremony held at the Convocation Square on July 26, 2025.

Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad I is a renowned figure, having served as a Supreme Court Justice and currently holding the position of Chancellor at the University of Maiduguri.
