Northwest University Sokoto Commiserates with Usman Danfodio University Sokoto

The Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto, Professor Ahmad Maigari Ibrahim, has expressed his condolences to the management of Usman Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUS) following the tragic death of Professor Yusuf Saidu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Development at UDUS.

The Vice Chancellor of Northwest University Sokoto, Professor Ahmad Maigari Ibrahim, has expressed his condolences to the management of Usman Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUS) following the tragic death of Professor Yusuf Saidu, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Development at UDUS. Professor Saidu was killed by bandits on June 24, 2024, while returning to Sokoto from Kaduna.

In his statement, Professor Maigari described Professor Saidu's death as a significant loss not only to his family and Usman Danfodio University but also to the entire nation. He prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him a higher rank in Jannatul Firdaus.

Responding on behalf of the deceased's family, Professor Lawal Sulaiman Bilbis of Usman Danfodio University expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and his entourage for their condolence visit. He prayed for Almighty Allah to reward them abundantly.

The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Dr. Umar Muhammad Burwa, Dean of the Faculty of Education; Dr. Rabi'u Muhammad, Dean of Student Affairs; and other top functionaries of Northwest University Sokoto.
