Led by Mrs. V.A. Ebute, the centre director, the advocacy team began their outreach at the Town Hall in Itedo-Amuro. They engaged with individuals and groups in areas such as Ofin, Bagido, and Mopo, aiming to raise awareness about the university and its educational offerings.

Ebute highlighted the advantages of studying with NOUN, emphasizing its flexibility, affordability, and strike-free status. She informed the community that enrollment does not require the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, and school fees are paid flexibly. Students can also continue working while studying, and the university's certificates are recognized worldwide.

The director explained that NOUN's Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode brings education directly to students, allowing for the accommodation of a large number of learners. Her presentation was met with enthusiasm from the audience, particularly regarding the opportunity to join the university.

The team addressed various questions from attendees, including inquiries about accessing lectures, fee payment methods, part-time study options, and connectivity issues. The responses provided clarification and satisfaction among the community members, fostering interest in enrolling at NOUN.
