The NYSC clarified that no directive has been issued by the relevant government sector responsible for wages, making it impossible for the scheme to announce any such payment
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has refuted circulating reports about a proposed upgrade of Corps members' accounts to accommodate a ₦70,000 minimum wage. In an official statement, the NYSC management labeled the information as misleading and untrue.
The NYSC clarified that no directive has been issued by the relevant government sector responsible for wages, making it impossible for the scheme to announce any such payment. Corps members, parents, and the general public are urged to disregard this false information.
The NYSC emphasized that Corps members are already familiar with the approved channels of communication within the scheme and should ignore any unofficial directives.
The management also warned bloggers and social media influencers to refrain from spreading unauthorized statements related to NYSC operations.
