Mrs. Oluwakemi Awolola, the NYSC Coordinator for Enugu State, continued her proactive approach to stakeholder engagement today with a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Ehin Cyprian. This visit underscores her commitment to ensuring the welfare and security of corps members, particularly during the orientation course.

In her address, Mrs. Awolola emphasized the importance of collaboration with government agencies like the NSCDC to enhance the safety of corps members. “The sole purpose of my visit is to ensure continued security for our corps members during their orientation,” she stated, seeking the Corps' support in safeguarding the youth during their service.

Mrs. Awolola acknowledged the crucial role NSCDC plays during the orientation courses and expressed her intention to fortify the existing partnership between the NYSC and the NSCDC. In response, Commandant Ehin Cyprian reaffirmed NSCDC’s unwavering support for the NYSC. He assured Mrs. Awolola that his office would always be available to provide assistance whenever needed. Emphasizing the interdependence of both organizations, he remarked, “Our collaborative success relies on our ability to work together as a family.”
