The Vice-Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, has called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to allocate funds for the completion of various abandoned projects across the institution. The appeal was made during an oversight visit by the State House of Assembly Committee on Tertiary Institutions to OAUSTECH.

Prof. Ologunorisa highlighted the urgent need for additional infrastructure to support the university's growing student population. He noted that OAUSTECH has increasingly become a top choice for prospective students nationwide. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of completing the Maritime Academy under construction at Ugbo-Nla by the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) and urged the governor to ensure its swift completion.

In addition to infrastructure needs, Prof. Ologunorisa urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to establish a Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, akin to the federal government’s initiative. He believes that such a ministry would greatly benefit the state by tapping into its extensive coastal resources.
