Obafemi Awolowo University Initiates Course Transfers via JAMB CAPS for the 2023/2024 Academic Session

In a move geared towards enhancing flexibility and ensuring the best academic fit for prospective students, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) has initiated the process for course transfers through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's Central Admission Processing System (JAMB CAPS) for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The university's management has officially begun accepting course change requests on the JAMB CAPS platform for candidates who qualify for admission into alternative departments. Specifically, candidates who recently participated in the university's post UTME examinations are strongly advised to log in to their JAMB CAPS accounts to explore the opportunity and accept the new offer of admission, should they wish to change their course of study.

To clarify, candidates who intend to transfer to a different department on the JAMB CAPS are required to complete a formal change of course procedure to reflect the adjustment in their admission status.

The steps to check and approve a course transfer on JAMB CAPS are as follows:

1. Visit the official JAMB website: [https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility](https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility).

2. Log in to your JAMB profile using your username and password.

3. Click on the "Check admission status" option.

4. Select the examination year and input your JAMB registration number in the provided field.

5. Click on the "Access my CAPS" button.

6. On the left-hand side of the page, locate and click on the "Transfer Approval" tab.

7. Finally, choose to "Accept" or "Reject" the course transfer offer. If accepted, your initial choice institution will be able to admit you into the new course. If rejected, the program transfer will not take effect.

Upon accepting the course transfer, students are further encouraged to proceed with the process of formally applying for a change of course, which will ensure that the new course is correctly reflected on their official admission letter.
