OGITECH Accounting Students Explore Professional Opportunities at ICAN Ebute Metta
OGITECH Accounting students visited ICAN Ebute Metta to explore professional opportunities, learn about early registration and scholarships, highlighting a strong partnership between the institutions.
Students from the Accounting Department of Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) recently visited the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Ebute Metta district to gain insights into the accounting profession and explore the benefits of becoming chartered accountants.
During the visit, ICAN representatives stressed the importance of early registration through the Accounting Technician Scheme West Africa (ATSWA) program, which offers a streamlined path to achieving chartered accountant status. The students were also introduced to scholarship opportunities available specifically for OGITECH graduates. Two notable scholarships were highlighted: The Diamond Scholarship for distinction students from any OGITECH course and The Gold Scholarship for the top-performing student in the Accounting Department.
"This visit has broadened our understanding of the accounting profession and the benefits of ICAN membership," said one of the OGITECH accounting students. "We're grateful for the guidance and look forward to leveraging these opportunities."
