He made this pledge during an orientation ceremony held for newly admitted students of the department.
Dr. Idegwu congratulated the students on their admission and described their academic journey as a transformative experience aimed at equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the larger society. He assured them of the department's robust academic framework, driven by a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to nurturing excellence.
"We are committed to providing an education that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications," Dr. Idegwu stated, urging students to attend classes regularly, engage actively in discussions, and seek support when needed.
The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Mrs. Caroline Ohen, also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of time management and academic diligence. She encouraged them to aspire to be the best in their fields.
