OGITECH Rector Commends FRSC Special Marshals for Humanitarian Service and Campus Safety

 The Rector of the Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, has lauded the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Special Marshal Unit for its selfless dedication to road safety and humanitarian services. 

The commendation was delivered on Monday, April 13, 2026, during a courtesy visit by the OGITECH Unit of the Special Marshals to the Rector’s office. The meeting served as a formal introduction to the institution's management and a platform to discuss safety operations within and around the campus.

Responding to the delegation, Dr. Oluseye praised the unit’s strong sense of duty and coordinated efforts in maintaining order. He assured the team of the Institute’s continued support, noting that their contributions are vital to creating a secure environment for students and staff.

“Your selflessness is recognized and valued by this Institute,” Dr. Oluseye remarked, encouraging the marshals to sustain their impactful work. 

The Unit Coordinator, Engr. Adeola Adelakun, reiterated that the marshals operate on a strictly humanitarian mandate. He explained that officers are trained for swift accident response, traffic management, and stabilizing safety hazards before handovers to regular authorities.

Adding historical context, the Unit Assistant Secretary, Mr. Adebayo Gbadebo, highlighted the long-standing contributions of the unit to OGITECH’s development. He also appealed for management’s assistance in facilitating the remittance of statutory national dues to further enhance their operational efficiency.

The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to sustained collaboration, ensuring that the campus and surrounding communities benefit from improved road discipline and rapid emergency response.
