PAAU VC Appoints Former Kogi Poly ICT Boss, Rock Adeiza Ezekiel, as Acting Director of ITRC

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Professor Usman Ogbo, has approved the appointment of C.itp Rock Adeiza Ezekiel as the new Acting Director of the Information Technology and Resource Centre (ITRC).

The appointment brings a seasoned digital transformation leader back to his alma mater. Ezekiel, who previously served as the Director of ICT at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, is widely recognized for his track record in automating academic processes and modernizing institutional infrastructure.

A Distinguished Professional Profile

C.itp Rock Adeiza Ezekiel holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Federal University Lokoja and is currently pursuing his PhD, specializing in automated grading systems. His professional journey is marked by significant roles in both the private and public sectors, including:

Kogi State Polytechnic (2022–2026): As ICT Director, he spearheaded the establishment of a JAMB-approved CBT Centre, automated certificate processing, and implemented e-Result systems.

Centrifuge Consulting, Abuja: Managed major federal projects involving the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).

National Leadership: He serves as the Assistant Secretary General of the Committee of Directors of ICT in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions (ComDICT-NTI).

Vision for PAAU

Ezekiel’s return to Anyigba is seen as a strategic move by the Vice-Chancellor to accelerate PAAU’s digital agenda. His expertise in network engineering, systems analysis, and ICT policy is expected to enhance the University’s research capabilities and administrative efficiency.

A member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Ezekiel brings over 15 years of experience to the role. His appointment underscores the University's commitment to maintaining its position as a tech-driven leader in higher education.
