In a remarkable achievement, 17-year-old Shanya Robinson-Owens from Pennsylvania has earned admission offers from 18 prestigious universities in the United States, coupled with an outstanding scholarship award exceeding $1 million.

Expressing her surprise and excitement, Shanya mentioned, "I was pretty excited. I wasn’t really expecting it." Her aunt, Christine Owens, described the over $1 million in scholarship awards as shocking, emphasizing that while they expected Shanya to be accepted into colleges, the magnitude of the scholarship funds exceeded their expectations.
Shanya, overwhelmed by the generosity of the scholarship awards, admitted, "I was really shocked. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know if I could cry, laugh, I didn’t know what to do."

Accepted into notable institutions, including Lincoln University in Missouri, Cabrini University, La Salle University, and Moravian College in Pennsylvania, Shanya has chosen to major in psychology. Despite the overwhelming success, she humbly offered advice to aspiring scholars, encouraging them to be patient, stay focused, and prioritize self-care.
The principal of George Washington Carver High School, Ted Domers, expressed pride in Shanya's accomplishments, noting, "It is a privilege for us to count Shanya as one of our own, and we are excited to see her create opportunities for her future."
