This is becoming too much, peaceful protesters were disrupted by the armed forces in Nigeria. Our rights are being infringed upon by the police.

The students of the University of Lagos went out for a peaceful protest on Wednesday, 6th September, 2023 regarding the outrageous hike in fees and the police made matters worse by opening tear gas and shooting.

We are demanding that the fees should be reduced to something that is much affordable. Majority of these forces and those in the seat of authority today enjoyed free education during their time but are making life unbearable for us.

If we can afford to pay over a hundred thousand as school fees, majority will be in private universities. A large percentage of students chose the University of Lagos because of it's affordability and now it's no longer so.
